How to Deactivate Dynamic Defense

If you are experiencing any network problems and would like to rule Dynamic Defense out as a potential cause, you can easily deavtivate all Dynamic Defense features in 1 click under Policy Manager or with in Firewall Rules.

Open policy manager

Open Policy Manager located on the right side of the screen.

Select the 3 dots above policy summary

At the top and to the right of Policy Summary", there will be an icon with 3 dots. Click on the 3 dots to display a menu with the deactivate feature.

Click on "Deactivate Dynamic Defense"

Once you click on "Deactivate Dynamic Defense" the firewall service and shield will operate as a wide open policy temporarily by passing any rules you may have created until you reactivate Dynamic Defense. A black banner across the top of Dynamic Defense will exist as long as it is deactivated.

Reactivate Dynamic Defense

You can simply reactivate Dynamic Defense by following the same steps you just completed. Opening Policy Manager, clicking on the 3 dot icon under Policy Manager and selecting "Reactivate Dynamic Defense." This will reimplement your active policy the existed before choosing to deactivate Dynamic Defense.
